This is a small bowl and I think it's so cute! The pillow it comes on is really pretty, too. However, the pillow is stuffed very unevenly so the bowl won't stay level, making it slide a lot. The sound is pretty but it becomes difficult to use because of the pillow, and the sound isn't as strong as I thought but I can't tell if it's because of the wooden tool or not. It's a great idea but it just didn't all work together, so the functionality is affected by it.
Very nice bowl! Well made and makes a great gift. Easy to use although I need a bit more practice! The pillow smells really good. The sound quality is clear and its a great value!
This is my very first singing bowl, and the first time I've ever actually gotten one to work!! I always feel silly when I go in stores that sell them, standing there trying to make them sing, but could never figure them out. This very well weighted singing bowl comes with great instructions on how to make it work, I had it singing very loud and crisply within sixty seconds. The bowl also comes with a beautiful real silk pillow (that smells really good), which is one of the factors to helping the bowl sing. Some reviewers said they couldn't get the bowl to work, but as a first timer, I had no problem whatsoever making this little bowl sing. I play with it all the time!
This singing bowl looks exactly like the photos, beautifully crafted and very calming in appearance. The wooden striker feels a bit light and not the sturdiest, but it does the job. Since this is my first sound bowl, it took me a few tries to get it to work properly. I learned that the key is to gently strike the bowl first and then slowly circle the rim without lifting the stick. Once I got the hang of it, the sound was surprisingly powerful and soothing for such a small bowl. Great for meditation or a calming moment during the day. Altough could use better instructions for first timers :)
It holds sound beautifully and is easy to carry anywhere. I feel more grounded since using it.
